I received this video from the lovely Bernard family who purchased our puppy, Muffin. They filmed her arrival at the Continental Office and what an amazing video it was! I'm trying to add it to the web site, thus far, it's a bit beyond my rather spotty skills, but I will persevere! It reinforced my belief that a relatively short airplane ride to a puppy's new home is nothing to worry about. Muffin arrived in fine style and had everyone's heart in a matter of moments. She went to such a special home. (Thanks Connie for the pics and the wonderful moment captured on film!)

Again, please don't be worried about shipping your puppy. Not only do the airlines do a simply marvelous job with our babies, but I am experienced and careful as well. Your puppy will often do much better traveling in his crate (which he loves to snuggle in already!), for a short airplane ride (all air conditioned or heated as needed and in a safe puppy area), than riding long distances cross-country! Puppies travel in a crate full of fluffy white shreddies and a portion of their baby blankie to chew on during their journey! We love to have people come if you are fairly close, but puppies honestly do wonderfully well flying. After all, they don't know it's an airplane - they travel happily in their "bed" to the vet and what not. My puppies arrive just fine and are happily running about moments after their arrival! My veterinarian says that sometimes a long car trip across country is harder on a puppy (and his new owner too!) than allowing the puppy a quick trip via plane!

Dear Puppy People, Just a note before you scroll down to see our newest available cavachon pups. I am simply amazed at the process and how it is possible for individuals and families who live sometimes in far away places to choose one of our puppies. These individuals sometimes come to us after searching through hundreds of ads on the Internet, from looking at dozens of tiny little faces gazing out of photos on a computer screen. And even more amazing, how hundreds of thousands of you become loyal fans of our site, both those who've purchased puppies, (many have purchased you second and even THIRD cavachons from Foxglove Farm) and those who simply long for a little cavachon puppy companion perhaps sometime in the future and love to visit and see our newest "kids" and enjoy the latest blog entry in our "Letters From Foxglove Farm". I'm thrilled that we have been able to match many of you with YOUR "Perfect Puppy", that this process is indeed blessed and helped by our prayers - prayers that the puppies we raise find the right homes and bring JOY to the hearts of those who adopt them.
It's not without a large amount of effort though. As Cavachon breeders > we give them a big head start on housetraining, grooming, nail trimming, crate training (in fact most of our puppies are sleeping through the night when they leave for their new homes, a VERY good thing!), all super important basics that a puppy will remember the rest of his or her life! Our puppies love people, other pets, CHILDREN and are simply the most beautiful Cavachons you'll find anywhere! (I've heard that comment hundreds of times!!!)
I know it's rather a daunting process, to find the Cavachon puppy that will fit the best into YOUR life. My advice is the same to all that ask me – a dog is a long-term investment. Really good dogs are not inexpensive and you'd better get the very best puppy you can find. That puppy will pay for itself thousands of times over in being not only completely adorable and BEAUTIFUL, but also in being easy to live with, loving and social with family and friends, super easy to housebreak, wonderfully trainable and just a JOY to own!

A brief word about Cavachon size~!
We currently try to raise two sizes of Cavachon for families to choose from. The "Toy" size
typically stays under 15 pounds, and is by far the most popular size, with requests for Toy puppies running 2 to 1 compared to Standard Size. I suppose the more portable & tidy dog is part of the reason, as well as the fact that though "Toy Size", the smaller Cavachon is still a little dog with the heart of a big dog! They happily avoid the "small dog syndrome", and are not a bit yappy or hyper, but have the mellow sweetness of their larger cousins in the K-9 world, albeit in a wonderfully easy size to groom & travel with!
The Standard Size is the 15 pounds and up category, we can usually make a good guess as to wether a puppy will stay on the smaller or larger size within a category, with the Standards being a super choice for very active families with more than a moderate amount of sporty activity planned for the new canine addition!

The New Puppy Anxiety Syndrome!!!
It seems lately that I've had so many mom's calling,,, (and a few dad's too!) right on the verge of finally saying "Yes" to a puppy for the family,,, but with such fear & trepidation, with sooooo many worries about the puppy & the effort that will be required to raise him or her~! I truly believe that our puppies are the easiest you will find to HOUSE TRAIN (the dreaded H word!!!!) to live with,,, to love & enjoy,,,, from the dozens of people who write and tell me how much they have loved and enjoyed their puppies (now grown to adulthood), I KNOW we have great puppies who have had a structured start with all the basics to make your job as easy as it can ever be with a new puppy~! They grow up so very quickly, take the plunge,,,, you won't regret it and your family will be soooooooo happy~~~!!!! (These pictures are indeed worth a 1000 words!)

I had a rather amazing phone call from a lady named Judith who runs a very exclusive pet grooming service in NYC. She said that in over 20 years of business, that she had never made this kind of call, but that she had puppy sat one of our Cavachons for 10 days for one of her clients in New York. I quote: "... I had to tell you if you ever need a reference in New York City, you are welcome to give my name and number! I puppy sat one of your Cavachons for 10 days recently, and I can't tell you how impressed I am with this wonderful little dog! If you ever raise another litter from her parents let me know, she is simply the best dog ever! I have to say, you are doing something right there in Ohio!!!" (She's sending pics & I'll be posting them later~!
How lovely to hear from a GROOMER about our "kids", I've also heard from Dog Trainers by the way, saying ours are the best Cavachons by far... AMAZING~~!!!!
I sat down to post the new litter and do one of my most favorite things, try to describe each & every puppy in such a way that makes him or her,,, come alive for those of you searching (& searching & searching!) for your perfect puppy!
